ABOUT
Meet Loren
Loren has worked in a variety of health care settings beyond her private psychotherapy practice. She is constantly exploring new ways to further promote and enhance her clients’ learning, growth, and healing. This led her to become certified in hypnotherapy, a modality she has incorporated into her service offerings for private and group clients.
As a result of both personal and professional experiences, Loren further expanded her practice to include a popular virtual group program customized for caregivers called Take Back Your Life: The Art of Self Care. This program guides individuals to take as excellent care of themselves as they do of others in their lives. Loren truly believes that you can live a life free of guilt, anger, and resentment…and full of joy and fulfillment. Now in its 10th successful year of helping family and professional caregivers change their lives, participants in her group program find they are able to experience a revitalized life experience with the support, guidance, and learning they receive in the “Take Back Your Life” program.
Loren believes self-worth comes from within and can be achieved by learning how to nurture, respect, and fully care for oneself. Loren offers a variety of traditional and eclectic strategies to support the well-being of clients and group participants.
While stress is a given in life, suffering is optional!
Loren helps you to move out of struggle and suffering toward living your life more loving and respectful of yourself, so you can feel empowered, fulfilled, and joyful.
Wisdom Through Personal Experience
Loren’s work and style stem from both her professional and personal life. She was married for almost 35 years, and was a “well-spouse” for over 25 years as her husband became disabled after 10 years of marriage. She learned to practice what she knew on a professional level and had to bring it to her home life.
Additionally, at the very end of 2019, Loren’s 26 year old son was diagnosed with AML (Acute Myeloid Leukemia). After 6 months of care and treatments, he passed away at the age of 27. During this time, Loren’s husband had a stroke, and he passed away 3 months before their son. Loren and her daughter have learned not only the art of balancing care, grief, love, and life, but know what it means to provide support and love to others, and to also ask for and receive support, guidance, and love from others, often from unexpected people and places.
